Backinstock Events

Back in Stock (BIS) events are designed to help brands capture shopper demand for out-of-stock products and automatically re-engage them when inventory becomes available again. These events empower timely and relevant notifications, improve conversion rates, and provide valuable signals about shopper intent and product popularity—even before stock is replenished.

The Back in Stock system supports the following event types:

Remind Me Subscription: Fired when a shopper explicitly requests to be notified when a currently out-of-stock product or variant becomes available again.

Back in Stock: Triggered when a previously out-of-stock product or variant is restocked and becomes available for purchase.

Coming Soon: Event is fired when a shopper requests to be notified for products that are tagged or configured as "Coming Soon"—items that are not yet available but are expected to be launched in the near future.
